Objective
Symbolic rules can be applied without directly affecting actual objects or processes. As such their implementation should have no influence on system architecture; when supported by rule-engines they could even be directly managed by users.
Description
Symbolic rules describe how symbolic representations are to be processed. While they can be triggered by actual or symbolic conditions, they will cause no change on system context.
Utilisation
Whereas symbolic rules are designed to process symbolic objects, they can be used within actual processes.
